Auburn gets commitment from Kalen Edwards, 4-star class of 2025 defensive lineman
Kalen Edwards, a four-star rated defensive lineman in the class of 2025, announced his commitment to Auburn football in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Monday evening.
Edwards is from Dyersburg, Tennessee and is listed at 6-foot-4, 330 pounds according to 247Sports. 247Sports also reported Edwards visited Auburn for the Iron Bowl.
Edwards is listed as a four-star recruit in the 247Sports composite ranking but a three-star in the 247Sports rankings alone. He had offers from multiple other SEC programs including Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Mississippi State.
The composite ranking regards Edwards as a top 300 player in the 2025 class and a top 30 defensive lineman.
He is the seventh pledge of Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class and the third defensive lineman. Auburn’s class was rated fifth in the country for the 2025 cycle before Edwards’ announcement.
Four-star defensive lineman Malik Autry is ranked as the best player overall for Auburn in the 2025 class so far, and a top 100 player in the country. Other defensive players in the class include four-star edge rusher Jakaleb Faulk — brother of current Auburn defensive end Keldric Faulk — four-star safety Kendarius Reddick and four-star defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford.
