Iron Bowl live updates: Alabama-Auburn score, injury report and analysis
The fiercest rivalry in the Southeastern Conference’s return is at hand. Alabama football travels to Auburn on Saturday for the renewal of the Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The Crimson Tide is entering Saturday’s matchup at 10-1 on the season, 7-0 in the SEC after beating Chattanooga in Tuscaloosa last week. UA faces Georgia next week in the SEC championship game but needs a win against Auburn to stay alive for the College Football Playoff.
Meanwhile, Auburn is Bowl eligible in Hugh Freeze’s first season in charge. However, the Tigers lost to New Mexico State at home last week.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT. It will be aired on CBS.

Pregame
— Alabama will likely have linebacker Deontae Lawson and safety Jaylen Key back from injuries according to Nick Saban on his pregame radio show. Wideout Kobe Prentice and linebacker Q Robinson were on the field for warmups as well.
— Auburn wins the toss and elects to receive the opening kickoff.
1st quarter
15:00– Alabama will kick off to start the Iron Bowl.
14:55 — Auburn’s offense will start its first drive from the Tigers’ 24-yard line
— Auburn goes three-and-out after two incompletions, a false start and an illegal forward pass. Oscar Chapman will punt it away to Alabama from his own 14 on 4th and 20.
14:23 — Alabama starts on its own 31 after the punt.
— Alabama drives down the field, utilizing a 33-yard pass play from Jalen Milroe to Malik Benson.
— Touchdown Alabama. Roydell Williams takes it in from two-yards out for the early lead. After Will Reichard’s extra point the score is 7-0 in the Crimson Tide’s favor with 10:53 left in the first quarter.
10:47 — Auburn starts on its own 4-yard line after an illegal block in the back against the Tigers. The officials missed a facemask penalty against Alabama, which has Hugh Freeze and the home crowd irate.
— Payton Thorne and the Auburn offense go three-and-out on their second possession. Oscar Chapman will punt it away from well inside his own end zone.
9:21– Alabama starts on the Auburn 49 following the Tiger punt.
— Kendrick Law rushes for what looked like an Alabama touchdown on fourth-and-short from the 40-yard line, but it’s called back for a hold.
— James Burnip on to punt for the Crimson Tide after the penalty.
7:14 — Auburn will start from its own 32 after Burnip shanks the punt for Alabama
— A pair of runs from Jarquez Hunter, which totaled 53 yards, have the Tigers rolling. 1st and 10 from the Alabama-15 yard line for Auburn.
— Damari Alston stretches across the goal line for a 4-yard Auburn touchdown. Alex McPherson’s PAT is good and the game is knotted up at 7-7 with 5:00 to play in the first quarter.
5:00– Alabama starts out on its own 30, after Auburn is offsides on the kickoff, which goes into the end zone for a touchback.
— Crimson Tide quickly moves into Auburn territory on Milroe passes to Isaiah Bond and Jermaine Burton.
