It’s the battle for the Governor’s Cup in the Bluegrass State when No. 9 Louisville hosts SEC power Kentucky ON Saturday at 11 a.m. CT, looking to stop a four-game losing streak to their in-state rivals.

We’ve got two great wagers to look for in our betting guide below.

College Football Week 13 Kentucky vs. Louisville odds and match-up preview

Louisville has been one of the best stories in college football, going 10-1 for new coach Jeff Brohm and qualifying for the ACC Championship Game against Florida State next week.

The Cardinals would need a lot of extra help to make the College Football Playoff, but they’re in the conversation and they can make a statement with a victory over SEC foe Kentucky. Louisville is a touchdown favorite at most prominent online sportsbooks.

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops brought in a large group of transfers, including former NC State quarterback Devin Leary and it worked – at least, early on. Kentucky was 5-0 to start the season and then took on two-time defending champs Georgia and got hammered 51-13.

Since that loss, the Wildcats have struggled, losing five out of six. They’ve still qualified for a low-level bowl game, but Kentucky fans were hoping for more.

Louisville quarterback Jack Plummer has been great all year, guiding the Cardinals to four comeback wins, including a season-defining win over Notre Dame.

The only thing left for the Cardinals to do is claim state bragging rights. Kentucky leads the all-time Governor’s Cup series 19-15 and has won the last four games.

Kentucky vs. Louisville best bets and odds: Plummer over 240.5 yards (-114 at FanDuel)

You knew when Brohm took over at Louisville that the Cardinals were going to be throwing the ball. Plummer ranks in the top 25 in passing yards at 2,710 and 19 touchdowns. His top target is Jamari Thrash who leads the Cardinals with 741 yards receiving.

If the Kentucky defense has a weakness, it’s definitely against the pass, where it ranks 91st in the nation. The Wildcats allowed 435 passing yards to Georgia and 285 to Bama. No one is saying the Cardinals are those two, but there are weaknesses Plummer can exploit.

Kentucky vs. Louisville best bets and odds: Jawhar Jordan under 58.5 yards (-114 at FanDuel)

These prop bets go hand-in-hand, because if Louisville has some success throwing the ball, they may not lean on Jordan to tote the rock.

Jordan, a transfer from Syracuse, has run for 1,009 yards this season and is 15th in the nation in yards per rush at 6.73, but the Wildcats defense has been really good against the run this season.

Kentucky allows 109.6 on the ground, but that number is a bit inflated after giving up 254 to Tennessee. Jordan was held to 33 yards last week against Miami.
