Wind advisory issued for Alabama until Tuesday morning
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory on Monday at 2:22 a.m. valid from 7 p.m. until Tuesday 7 a.m. for Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa and Tallapoosa counties.
The weather service states, “South to southeast winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and outdoor decorations. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
This advisory is in effect until Tuesday at 7 a.m.
