Wind advisory in effect from 6 p.m. for North Alabama
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory on Monday at 3:01 a.m. valid from 6 p.m. until Tuesday 6 a.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.
The weather service adds, “Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
This advisory is in effect until Tuesday at 6 a.m.
