Andalusia man killed in early morning South Alabama crash

Alabama troopers say an Andalusia man died early Sunday morning from a crash in Covington County.

Sgt. Jeremy Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the incident happened at about 5:40 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 29 near the 56 mile marker, about nine miles north of Andalusia.

Trevor D. Clark, 26, was driving a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser that left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

Clark was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, Burkett said.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
