A 61-year-old man died at the hospital after he fell from an elevated platform at a north Alabama plant Thursday, the Marshall County coroner said.

Jerry Brown, 61, fell from the platform inside Kabco Builders in Boaz, said Coroner Cody Nugent.

Brown was taken to the Marshall Medical Center South Emergency Room after the industrial accident.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No other people at the Boaz plant were injured, Nugent said.
