A Prichard woman is in Mobile Metro Jail, charged with the murder of her grandson.

Prichard police responded to a report of a death in the 400 block of Circle Drive Wednesday afternoon, according to WKRG.

Police confirmed there was a male victim and the television station later reported the victim was the grandson of 76-year-old Mary Alice Jordan, who was taken into custody and charged with murder.

Jordan was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail at 3:46 p.m. Thursday. She is being held without bond pending a Friday court appearance.
