The hour-long CBS News interview special Jay-Z and Gayle King: Brooklyn’s Own is scheduled to premiere Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 9/8c.

The exclusive interview with Shawn Corey Carter, famously known as Jay-Z, is set to take place with Gayle King at the Brooklyn Public Library where a new exhibit explores his life and legacy.

During Jay-Z’s chat with King, the rapper will discuss a variety of topics including his early life, his music, his work in criminal justice, his business acumen and his family.

“In a rare, wide-ranging interview, Jay-Z talks with King about growing up in the Marcy Houses in Brooklyn, facing some difficult issues and how music was his path out,” a news release from CBS Entertainment states.

“With King, he opens up about his business career, how he makes music and the stories behind some of his famous lyrics. The special also features footage from a 2002 ‘60 MINUTES II’ interview, where viewers will see a younger Jay-Z on the cusp of being the mogul he is today.”
