The South Alabama men’s basketball team (1-1) will travel to face off against No. 22 Alabama (2-0) on Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Coleman Coliseum. The game will be live streamed on ESPN+.

The Jaguars are coming off a 70-56 road first victory over Buffalo in the MAC-SBC Challenge, while Alabama remained unbeaten with a 101-80 win over Indiana State on Friday.

This is the sixth meeting between the two schools. Alabama leads the series 4-1 all-time. The Jags hosted the Tide in Mobile for the first time last fall and stayed close, but fell short in the second half losing 65-55.

The Jaguars lone victory came in the 1989 NCAA Tournament, when all-time South great Jeff Hodge hit a three-point buzzer beater to move South Alabama to the second round of the tournament for the first time in program history.

For the third time in school history, and first since 1964-65, Alabama has opened a season with consecutive 100-point games. The Crimson Tide is averaging 103.5 points per game, which ranks No. 15 in the country and second-best among Power Five programs (No. 12 Iowa, 104.0 ppg)
