5 jailed in operation targeting adults seeking sex with minors

Five people are under arrest following an undercover operation aimed at adults trying to meet minors for sex.

The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force carried out the operation last week, along with the Covenant Rescue Group, a non-profit organization based in Jefferson County.

Those charged with electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act are:

– Benjamin Justin Collier III, 25, of Birmingham

–  Raymond Eugene Clark, 28, of Tuscaloosa

–  George Prater, 45, of Port Arthur, Texas

– Terry Leon Wright, 25, of Tuscaloosa

– Malicah Santeaugo McKinney, 20, of Northport

No additional details about the operation were released.

The task force is made up of officers from the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, University of Alabama Police Department, Northport Police Department and the Tuscaloosa Cyber Intelligence Unit. Trafficking Hope, University of Alabama’s Institute for Data Analytics and Skull Games Inc. are non-law enforcement organizations that provide assistance to the task force during undercover operations.
