Vote for the Hollis Wright Birmingham area football player of the week
The Hollis Wright Birmingham high school football Player of the Week will be chosen by fans voting for the top performances in the area following the first week of AHSAA playoffs.
The voting closes at 11 p.m. on Wednesday with results posted on Thursday so make your selection below.
Players are selected from nominations by coaches or from AL.com game reports.
Ashton Ashford, Ramsay: Scored two touchdowns on 11 carries for 129 yards against West Point.
DJ Barber, Clay-Chalkville: Contributed nine tackles, including three for-loss, all in the first half against Cullman.
Blaine Burke, Moody: Ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, adding a 33-yard scoring reception against Scottsboro.
Kole Caldwell, Hueytown: Helped the Gophers defense limit Theodore to 69 yards total offense (56 passing, 13 rushing).
Peyton Floyd, Hewitt-Trussville: Completed 9-of-10 passes for 170 yards and three touchdowns, adding a rushing score against Bob Jones.
Cole Gamble, Mountain Brook: Had 22 carries for 178 yards and three touchdowns and caught two passes for 93 yards and a score against Buckhorn.
Jeremiah Hall, Leeds: Intercepted two passes with 68 return yards, including a touchdown, and added six tackles against Arab.
Collin Moore, Pleasant Grove: Ran 17 times for 169 yards with a touchdown, adding a receiving touchdown against Lawrence County.
Naeem Offord, Parker: Returned two punts for touchdowns (45 and 50 yards) against Mae Jemison.
Luke Reynolds, Briarwood Christian: Scored the first touchdown on a 13-yard run then blocked the ensuing punt, which was returned for a score, and also intercepted two passes in the end zone against Carver-Montgomery.
Jordan Ross, Vestavia Hills: Had 12 tackles, including four tackles-for-loss, and two sacks against Austin.
Trent Seaborn, Thompson: Completed 25-of-29 passes for 343 yards and three touchdowns, adding a rushing touchdown against Florence.
Spencer Unruh, Corner: Had 29 rushes for 179 yards and a touchdown against Randolph.
Jordan Washington, Helena: Ran 34 times for 347 yards and six touchdowns, caught two passes for 58 yards and completed a 23-yard scoring pass against Wetumpka.
Cole Williams, Southeastern: Had 16 tackles with two pass breakups, a tackle-for-loss and interception on defense, adding 371 yards rushing with three touchdowns against Collinsville.
