Hozier announces 2024 show in Birmingham area

The Birmingham area can look forward to a visit from singer-songwriter Hozier, who has announced a string of new dates extending his “Unreal Unearth” tour into 2024.

According to information released Thursday, the artist will appear May 5 at Oak Mountain Amphitheater in Pelham. Tickets go on sale to the general public at noon Central time on Friday, Nov. 17, via Live Nation. As of Thursday, concerts.livenation.com did not list ticket prices.

The run of shows announced Thursday stretches from April 20 in Raleigh, N.C., to Sept. 17 in Los Angeles. Alabama singer-songwriter Brittany Howard recently announced that she’ll be performing some European summer dates with Hozier, but this run of North American shows will feature special guest Alison Russell.

“After the sweetest run of US shows, I’m delighted to announce these brand new #UnrealUnearth tour dates for next year,” Hozier said on X/Twitter. “I can’t wait to be back and I hope to see you there.”

Hozier, an Irish star known for his breakout single “Take Me to Church,” released his third studio album, “Unreal Unearth,” in August.
