The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian killed late Friday night in a crash with a motorcycle in Fairfield.

Wayne Kevin Jackson, 57, of Birmingham, died at the scene of the incident that happened about 11:23 p.m. in the 6500 block of Aaron Aronov Drive.

According to investigators, Jackson was a pedestrian walking in the roadway when he was struck by a motorcycle.

The operator of the motorcycle remained at the scene and reported the wreck to the authorities.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
