Alabama football beat LSU on Saturday, giving the Crimson Tide a chance to clinch the SEC West with either an Ole Miss loss or a win in either of its final two league games. The first of those chances comes Saturday, when UA travels to Kentucky.

The Wildcats are currently 6-3 on the season, 3-3 in SEC play. They’re coming off a win at Mississippi State on Saturday.

Nick Saban is set to speak with local media on Monday to wrap up the LSU game and preview Kentucky. He’s scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. CT in Tuscaloosa.

— Saban begins by saying the LSU game was Alabama’s most complete of the year, especially in the second half. Says Tide controlled line of scrimmage and Jalen Milroe played well. Says now is not a time to be complacent.

— Says Kentucky is completely different than LSU. Says Wildcats are tough, physical and well-coached. Says UK offense is tough and explosive.

— Saban says he has not health update on Deontae Lawson and Jaylen Key. Notes that they’re day-to-day.

— Praises Kendrick Law’s play in an expanded offensive role against LSU. Says Jam Miller also played well.

— Saban shares memories of the 2002 Bluegrass Miracle game from when he was at LSU.

— Saban says Ja’Corey Brooks has been “a little hurt” which has contributed to his smaller role on offense. Says he hurt shoulder in game, but praised how Brooks has played in his role this season.

— Saban praises Malachi Moore’s energy and versatility for the Crimson Tide defense this season. Says Moore has been “invaluable.”

— Speaks positively of Alabama’s defensive coaching. Notes how the group does a good job explaining how the previous drive went on the sideline.

— Says there’s not really a technical coaching point on Dallas Turner’s hit on Jayden Daniels. Says it wasn’t a dirty hit, but it’s going to get called if you hit the quarterback in the head. Says he wants Turner to keep his eyes up.
