The top six teams in this week’s AL.com Power 25 high school football rankings remained exactly the same heading into Round 1 of the playoffs.

Class 6A Saraland and Class 7A Central-Phenix City remain tied for first, each with 98 points and two first-place votes. They are followed by No. 3 Clay-Chalkville, No. 4 Thompson, No. 5 Mary G. Montgomery and No. 6 Muscle Shoals.

The Power 25 ranks the top high school football teams in Alabama regardless of classification.

This week’s slate features three ranked Power 25 matchups – all in Class 7A. No. 7 Vestavia Hills travels to No. 25 Austin, No. 14 Auburn is at No. 20 Baker and No. 5 Mary G. Montgomery hosts No. 10 Dothan in the only top 10 matchup.
