An Athens man has been charged with murder in connection with a shooting.

According to court documents, Jordan Laron Turner, 20, was arrested following the death Wednesday of Cameron Oshai Whitt.

Police were called to the 2000 block of Aretha Drive Wednesday at about 3:30 p.m.

Whitt, 29, was discovered with a gunshot wound.

Turner was booked into the Limestone County Jail.
