‘SEC Nation’ heads to Lexington for Week 11 ahead of Alabama-Kentucky

“SEC Nation,” the SEC Network’s traveling college pregame show, is headed to Kentucky for the Wildcats’ Week 11 kickoff against eighth-ranked Alabama.

It’s the second time the traveling show will broadcast from Lexington. It was on site for Week 5 prior to Kentucky’s win over then-No. 25 Florida.

Laura Rutledge hosts “SEC Nation,” her seventh season in the host’s chair and her eighth on the show overall, and will be joined by Paul Finebaum, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers and Tim Tebow for a weekly breakdown of the SEC football action to come.

In addition, “Marty & McGee” also will broadcast live, as Marty Smith and Ryan McGee “meet at the intersection of southern lifestyle and college football” to bring viewers the latest headlines.

“The Paul Finebaum Show” will also broadcast from Lexington on Friday.

Alabama is coming off a 42-28 win over visiting LSU on Saturday. Jalen Milroe rushed for 155 yards and four touchdowns and passed for another 219 yards to lead the No. 8 Tide to the win. Milroe matched big plays both running and passing with the Tigers’ Heisman Trophy candidate Jayden Daniels and the Crimson Tide moved closer to locking down an SEC West title.

Daniels left the game early in the fourth quarter after a hard hit that drew a flag. CBS reported he was in concussion protocol.

Meanwhile, Kentucky became bowl eligible by holding Mississippi State to 218 yards of offense in a 24-3 victory on Saturday night, beating the Bulldogs on the road for the first time since 2008.

It was the first time in the history of the series that the Bulldogs scored in the single digits against the Wildcats at home. MSU (4-5, 1-5 SEC) continued a trend of poor performances on the offensive side of the ball since the loss of quarterback Will Rogers in the fourth quarter of the Western Michigan game on October 7. Kentucky (6-3, 3-3) finished the game with just 271 yards of offense.
