Is there a feud between Lane Kiffin and Jimbo Fisher?

The Texas A&M coach doesn’t think so. Following No. 11 Ole Miss’ 38-35 win over Texas A&M, Fisher was asked about it.

“I have no problem with Lane,” Fisher said. “I am coaching our guys. The streak I want to get off is winning on the road. We want to win for our football team and our kids who are heartbroken in the locker room.”

Still, you can’t help but believe where there’s smoke there is fire.

During the win, the Rebels pulled the old player-running-off-the-field, but-he-really-isn’t-off-the-field play. The result was a touchdown, and Kiffin celebrated the touchdown by running down the field, then threw a “sleeping” gesture at the Aggies sidelines.

The Ole Miss coach has questioned the Aggies’ NIL dealing, dating back to Alabama’s Nick Saban’s comment that Texas A&M “bought every player.”

Leading up to Saturday’s game against the Aggies, Kiffin praised Fisher’s roster.

“These guys are absolutely loaded,” Kiffin said. “It’s kind of a mind-blowing collection of talent as you watch them, offensively, defensively, return game, special teams. It really is like an NFL roster. I mean, height, weight, speed, explosiveness.”

The point, of course, continues to be that A&M is luring players because of money, but it doesn’t appear to be translating to wins.

Meanwhile, Quinshon Judkins ran for three touchdowns, including the game-winner from a yard out with 1:40 remaining as No. 11 Ole Miss rallied to win. The Rebels preserved the win on the final play as Zxavian Harris tipped Randy Bond’s 47-yard field-goal attempt.

Judkins, who had 102 yards rushing on 23 carries, capped a nine-play, 75-yard drive to give the Rebels the decisive margin. Jaxson Dart was 24 of 33 for 387 yards and two touchdowns.
