OWA Parks & Resort off OWA Boulevard in Foley has several new businesses coming to the resort — Fluffy’s Pet Shop; a British-inspired pub called Towne Tap; and Jason Will Real Estate.

OWA is a 520-acre destination park owned and developed by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. It includes an indoor water park, theme-park rides, entertainment, restaurants shopping and a hotel.

New business at OWA is just one of six coastal Alabama real estate transactions of note in recent days.

SpillTech Inc., has leased 225,000 square feet of space in a warehouse building at 701 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, in Bay Minette, according to Nathan Handmacher of Zarzour Companies. The company, which has manufacturing operations in Mobile, will use the Bay Minette building for storage and distribution. Standard Furniture occupies 125,000 square feet in the same building, which is owned by an Arizona-based real estate investment trust.

A local investment group paid $1.6 million for 155 acres near Baldwin County 66 N. and U.S. 90 in west Loxley, according to Herrington Realty, which represented the seller. Andrew Dickman of Stirling Properties worked for the buyers, who plan to use the property for future development.

Developers are seeking site plan review approval for Roscoe Road Townhomes, a 60-unit multi-family project on more than 39 acres on the west side of Roscoe Road near the intersection of Roscoe Road and the Foley Beach Express in Orange Beach, according to city planning.
