Juvenile among 2 wounded in separate Birmingham shootings
A juvenile is among two people wounded in separate Birmingham shootings Saturday night.
The first shooting happened at 8:03 p.m. at 4700 block Terrace R on the city’s westside.
According to police, the adult male victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A suspect was quickly taken into custody.
Less than 30 minutes later and just a couple of blocks away, a juvenile male was shot in the leg.
That shooting happened at 8:31 p.m. in the 4700 block of Terrace Q. The victim’s exact age wasn’t immediately available, but authorities said his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
Sgt. LaQuitta Wade said there’s no indication the two shootings were connected.
