Alabama football’s Jaylen Key and Ja’Corey Brooks out with injuries vs. LSU

Alabama football will be without two contributors for the remainder of Saturday’s matchup with LSU at Bryant-Denny Stadium. According to the CBS broadcast of the game, Jaylen Key and Ja’Corey Brooks will not return to the game.

Key went down with 5:24 remaining in the first quarter. He was injured breaking up a Jayden Daniels pass and was attended to on the field by medical staff.

He was able to walk off the field under his own power. According to the CBS broadcast, he will miss the rest of the game, which was tied at 21 at the halftime break, due to a quad injury.

Key finished with one tackle and one pass breakup.

Alabama will also be without Brooks, who plays wide receiver and on special teams for the Crimson Tide. It was not immediately obvious how Brooks was injured.

According to the broadcast, he suffered an upper extremity injury.

Alabama’s matchup with LSU kicked off at 6:45 p.m. CT Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. It is being aired on CBS.
