AL.com Power 25: Vestavia Hills, Catholic among big movers
Class 7A Vestavia Hills and Class 4A Montgomery Catholic both jumped into the top 10 of the AL.com Power 25 following Week 10 victories.
Vestavia moved from No. 14 to No. 8 after shutting out Tuscaloosa County 45-0. Catholic rallied to knock off reigning state champ Andalusia 27-14 and jumped from No. 13 to No. 9.
The Knights have won 34 straight regular season games. Their last regular-season loss was a 32-21 setback at Montgomery Academy on Sept. 25, 2020.
The AL.com Power 25 ranks the top high school football teams in the state regardless of classification. Class 6A Saraland and Class 7A Central-Phenix City remain tied at the top of this week’s poll.
