A motorcyclist was killed in a weekend crash in west Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as Dwayne Everett O’Hara. He was 55 and lived in Birmingham.

The wreck happened at 10 p.m. Saturday on Bessemer Road at Eufaula Avenue. O’Hara’s motorcycle was involved in a collision with another vehicle, but additional details have not been released.

O’Hara was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m.

Birmingham police are investigating.
