The Hollis Wright Birmingham area high school football Player of the Week will be chosen by fans voting for the top performances in the Birmingham area.

Voting closes at 11 p.m. on Wednesday with results posted on Thursday so make your selection below.

Players are selected from nominations by coaches or from AL.com game reports.

Blake Allums, Vincent: Was 20-of-32 pasing for 239 yards and 3 TDs against Luverne.

Peyton Argent, Hoover: Booted all 8 kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks and added a 33-yard field goal while putting 2 punts inside the 10 yard line against Bob Jones.

Cole Gamble, Mountain Brook: Ran 22 times for 234 yards and 6 touchdowns against Pinson Valley.

Eric Handley, Pleasant Grove: Completed 13-of-16 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns against Alexandria.

John Paul Head, Vestavia Hills: Completed 16-of-22 passes for 229 yards and ran 18 times for 68 yards a 4 TDs against Austin.

Jeremiah Hunter, Leeds: Had 18 carries for 153 yards 4 TDs and a catch for 31 yards against Fairfield.

Clayton Mains, Pelham: Completed 4-of-8 passes for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran 8 times for 65 yards and 3 TDS against Northridge.

Brett Moseley, Hewitt-Trussville: Caught 8 passes for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns against Florence.

Tyler Nelson, Gardendale: Ran 22 times for 204 yards and 3 touchdowns and completed 10-of-17 passes against Oxford.

Jackson Parris, Homewood: Caught 3 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown against McAdory.

Tremell Washington, Ramsay: Was 8-of-12 passing for 173 yards and 3 TDs and ran 5 times for 42 yards and a touchdown against Southside-Gadsden.

Earl Woods, Hueytown: Ran for 229 yards with 2 TDs and had 145 yards passing with a touchdown against Benjamin Russell.
