Want a chance to buy high-end liquors? Here’s how to apply for Alabama sweepstakes

People interested in buying high-end liquors in Alabama – or at least having a chance to do so – face a deadline this week.

The Alabama Beverage Control Board will host its fall liquor sweepstakes on Dec. 9 at ABC stores around the state. Deadline for registration will be Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.; the drawing will be conducted on Oct. 30. All participants will be notified via email and/or text on Nov. 2.

You can register here.

Applicants can submit up to four store choices. Participating stores are:

  • 1199 S. Donahue Drive, Auburn
  • 8115 Highway 72 West, Madison
  • 201 Rele Street, Mountain Brook
  • 160 Baldwin Square, Fairhope
  • 6941 Bellingrath Road, Theodore
  • 3420 McFarland Blvd. East, Tuscaloosa
  • 2786 Eastern Blvd., Montgomery
  • 1641 Ashville Road, Leeds

One-hundred and fifty people will be selected for each store, with each winner getting an assigned time to line up and then enter the property. Times start at 8 am. and last until 10:50 a.m.

Registration for walk-up lines opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 11:20 a.m. Only the first 150 walk-up customers will be allowed in, starting at 11:30 a.m. and lasting until 1:30 p.m.

To apply, individuals must be current Alabama residents who are at least 21 years of age and have a valid government-issued ID.
