Here are Huntsville’s 10 highest paying jobs that only require a high school diploma

Early in his tenure Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle said the city had a lot of high paying jobs and a lot of low-paying jobs, but not as many in the middle.

He told the Lede the city began to focus on bringing advance manufacturing companies to Huntsville to supply those jobs in the middle. And the city has seen a steady stream of success since with Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, Polaris, Blue Origin and other companies supplying jobs for middle-class workers.

Battle credits that with raising the median household income in the area. According to the Alabama Department of Labor, workers earn more money in Huntsville than in any other metro in the state, earning an average of $70,876 per year.

According to job search sites Indeed and Glassdoor, there are between 12,000 and 15,000 job openings in the area. While many of the highest paying jobs require college degrees., many do not.
