Following the coronavirus pandemic, demand for real estate soared, causing home prices to skyrocket. And though rising interest rates have slowed the market over the last year, prices are still increasing in many places, including Mobile.

Stacker used data from Zillow to determine the cities in the Mobile metro area with the fastest-growing home prices. The cities are ranked by price change from May 2022 to May 2023. Nationally, home prices increased over the last year by 0.9%.

Here are the 11 Alabama cities in the Mobile metro area with the fastest-growing home prices. Note that this list doesn’t include metro areas in nearby Baldwin County, one of the fastest growing counties in the state, where home prices tend to be a little higher.
