Boy fighting for his life after being shot Tuesday in Montgomery, police say

A boy is fighting for his life after he was shot late Tuesday morning in Montgomery, police said.

Montgomery police and fire medics responded to the 3500 block of Carter Hill Road around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman.

Authorities found the victim, only publicly identified as a juvenile male, with a life-threatening gunshot wound, Coleman said.

The boy was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
