A woman is under arrest in connection with a stabbing at a Northport apartment complex.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit on Monday announced a first-degree assault charge against 35-year-old Courtney Renee May.

The assault happened about 7 p.m. Friday at West Circle Apartments.

TVCU Capt. Jack Kennedy said a 69-year-old man sustained serious injuries.

May was taken into custody Monday morning. She is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.

A motive has not been disclosed.
