In the coming years, we’re going to appreciate south Huntsville more and more. This part of the city isn’t flash or cool — it’s just good. And it’s not stupid-expensive to live here … yet.

Below are five things to love about south Huntsville, the part of the city where I grew up and my family still has strong roots.

For this list, we’re gonna consider south Huntsville to be south of Airport Road. We’re going to stick to locally-based stuff too, so no big chains.

Obviously, these aren’t south Huntsville’s only charms, just suggestions for where to start.
