Nick Saban took a hard fall Saturday night during the first half of Alabama’s game at LSU in Baton Rouge.

During the first half, an incomplete pass near the sideline resulted in Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry falling into his head coach and Saban went down.

Saban, who lost his headset in the process, appeared to have his legs rolled into, but the coach bounced back up.

Saban is never one to let physical ailments get in his way of work. He joked with Stephen A. Smith that he was back at work the day after hip surgery.

In 2019, Alabama’s head coach returned to work less than 48 hours after undergoing the hip replacement surgery that was performed by Dr. Benton Emblom, Dr. Lyle Cain and their team at Andrews Sports Medicine.

“I had one day on the walker,” Saban said at the time. “Now I’m on the cane. I’ll probably throw that (SOB) away tomorrow.”
