Alabama at LSU score updates and analysis

It’s a nice evening in Baton Rouge for one of the prime rivalries in the SEC. Alabama and LSU are set for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff on ESPN with control of the SEC West Division on the line.

Both the Crimson Tide and Tigers are coming off open week and enter with one SEC loss apiece. Alabama hasn’t lost in Tiger Stadium since 2010 and won 55-17 two years ago en route to a national championship. This will be a meeting of athletic quarterbacks in Alabama’s Bryce Young and LSU Jayden Daniels as the Tigers beat then-No. 7 on this field two weeks ago.

Live score: Alabama 0, LSU 0

FIRST HALF

— Alabama takes over at the 20. The Tide was cruising with plays of 19, 21 and 19 yards respectively before Bryce Young was intercepted in the end zone. He was trying to make something happen but threw it behind JoJo Earle. It was Young’s first INT since the Oct. 1 game at Arkansas.

— LSU’s opening drive extended by a roughing the passer flag on Henry To’o To’o. The Tigers have the ball in Alabama territory but a holding call on the next snap set LSU back and To’o To’o made a third-down tackle for a loss of four to force the punt. The Alabama pass rush looked fired up coming out of the gate.

— LSU will get the ball to open the game.

Pregame notes

— Freshman CB Terrion Arnold doesn’t appear to be on the field warming up 30 minutes before kick. Eli Ricks and Kool-Aid McKinstry are warming up with the first team.

— Seth McLaughlin is warming up with the first team at center after Darrian Dalcourt got the start two weeks ago against Mississippi State.

— Both DJ Dale and Jaheim Oatis are in uniform and warming up with the defensive line after missing the MSU game two weeks ago.
