For the second time, Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson has been ejected from an NFL game for a hit on a tight end.

On the third snap of the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game, Jackson brought down Packers tight end Luke Musgrave with a helmet-to-helmet hit at the end of an 18-yard reception at the Green Bay 47-yard line.

Jackson was penalized for unnecessary roughness and disqualified from further participation on Sunday.

Green Bay scored a touchdown on the drive to take a one-point lead with 8:31 to play. But the Broncos came back with a field goal to post a 19-17 victory.

Jackson’s ejection came in his 200th NFL regular-season game since he entered the league as a first-round selection in the 2010 draft. Jackson joined punter Chris Mohr, tight end Howard Cross and linebacker Cornelius Bennett as the Alabama alumni who have reached 200.

Mohr has appeared in 239 games, Cross in 207 and Bennett in 206.

The game also was Jackson’s 192nd start in an NFL regular-season game, breaking his tie for second with Ozzie Newsome on the Alabama list. The only former Crimson Tide player with more NFL regular-season starts than Jackson is Bennett, with 204 from 1987 through 2000.

In Denver’s 35-33 loss to Washington on Sept. 17, Jackson was penalized and ejected for a hit on Commanders tight end Logan Thomas on a touchdown reception with 1:47 left in the first half.

Jackson has been fined by the NFL four times for unnecessary roughness in the first six weeks of the season. Twice the fines stemmed from penalties called on the field. The past two fines have not been connected to penalties.

The NFL fined Jackson $14,819 in Week 1, $19,669 in Week 2, $11,473 in Week 3 and $43,709 in Week 6.
