Vote for the Hollis Wright Birmingham area top football performance for Week 9

The Hollis Wright Birmingham high school football Player of the Week will be chosen by fans voting for the top performances in the area.

Voting closes at 11 p.m. on Wednesday with results posted on Thursday so make your selection below.

Players are selected from nominations by coaches or from AL.com game reports.

DJ Barber, Clay-Chalkville: Contributed nine tackles and two sacks, adding a blocked punt that led to a touchdown against Oxford.

Brock Bradley, Spain Park: Completed 27-of-34 passes for 411 yards and four touchdowns and added a rushing score against Hewitt-Trussville.

Jacob Clopton, McAdory: Completed 8-of-9 passes for 218 yards (27.3 yards per completion) for 4 touchdowns, adding three carries for 20 yards against Brookwood.

Rozario Conwell, Montevallo: Ran seven times for 174 yards (24.8 yards per carry) with four touchdowns against Holt.

Cole Gamble, Mountain Brook: Amassed 319 yards and four touchdowns, running 16 times for 201 yards and three touchdowns, returning a kickoff 99 yards for a score and catching a pass for 19 yards against Mortimer Jordan.

Eric Handley, Pleasant Grove: Completed 17-of-20 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns, all in the first half against Carver.

Boogie Harris, Gardendale: Ran 15 times for 235 yards and three touchdowns against Woodlawn.

John Paul Head, Vestavia Hills: Completed 10-of-16 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns, adding 11 rushes for 58 yards and three touchdowns against Oak Mountain.

Cameron Jennings, Parker: Was 11-of-14 passing for 310 yards and three touchdowns against Minor.

Micah Lawrence, Tarrant: Caught three passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns and returned an interception 60 yards for a score against Sumiton Christian.

Carson McFadden, John Carroll: Had 322 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns with 16 rushes for 139 yards and two scores and 183 passing yards and three touchdowns on 12-of-15 attempts, adding three punts with two downed inside the 10-yard line and the other at the 17 against Jasper.

Collin Pate, Oak Grove: Ran 21 times for 173 yards and two touchdowns with two catches for 32 yards, adding 10 tackles with two tackles-for-loss and a forced fumble on defense against Cordova.

Byron Quates, Pinson Valley: Scored two touchdowns on defense, returning an interception 56 yards and returning a fumble 89 yards while contributing six tackles against Shades Valley.

Jonah Winston, Hoover: Had 246 all-purpose yards, running seven times for 186 yards and three touchdowns, catching three passes for 24 yards and returning a punt 23 yards against Chelsea.
