Vote for the Cunningham Bounds Coastal FB Player of Week 9

Check out the nominees for the Cunningham Bounds Coastal Alabama Football Player of the Week for Week 9 of the 2023 high school football season.

Coaches can submit statistics following their games on Friday night or nominate players before noon each Saturday.

Nominations must come from a coach or official team statistician. They can be emailed to [email protected].

Voting is open until Wednesday morning. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday.

Here are this week’s nominees:

D.J. Butler, Davidson: Butler rushed for 315 yards and four touchdowns and also passed for 85 yards and 2 TDs as the Warriors unleashed the single-wing offensive attack on Foley in a 52-41 win.

EJ Crowell, Jackson: The freshman rushed for 289 yards and 3 TDs on 30 carries as the Aggies outlasted St. Michael.

A.J. Ezell, Clarke County: The senior rushed 120 yards on 23 carries and scored 4 touchdowns as Clarke County cruised past St. Luke’s.

Jerrian Graham, Vigor: The South Alabama commit passed for 208 yards and a pair of TDs as the Wolves won at Elberta. Graham was 7-of-11 passing. He also scored on a 2-yard run.

Jared Hollins, Mary G. Montgomery: The South Alabama commit threw 3 more TD passed and rushed for another score as MGM clinched the 7A, Region 1 title with a convincing win at Daphne. Hollins was 10-of-14 for 211 yards and scored on a 28-yard run.

Anthony “Tank” Jones, St. Paul’s: Jones scored his team’s first TD of the night and also had four sacks on defense as the Saints shut out Blount on the road.

Javon Mose, Chickasaw: Mose blocked a punt for a touchdown and returned an interception 50 yards for a score to seal Chickasaw’s win over Washington County. He also finished with 12 tackles, including 2 tackles for a loss.

Navontay Richardson, Theodore: Richardson rushed for 264 yards and four touchdowns on 10 first-half carries Friday to lead Class 6A No. 10 Theodore to a 42-7 win over McGill-Toolen.

Shadarius Toodle, Cottage Hill: Toodle rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries and also had 10 tackles, a forced fumble and a sack on defense in a win over Cottage Hill.

Amari Yelding, B.C. Rain: Yelding threw for 275 yards and 3 touchdowns as B.C. Rain beat LeFlore to win its fifth straight game after a 1-2 start. Yelding was 14-of-20 overall.
