NFL Week 7 odds preview: Best prop betting picks for Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, and Jaylen Waddle
Tua Tagovailoa over 276.5 passing yards (-114 or better)
The Eagles boast one of the NFL’s best defenses, but the unit has taken a step back from its form in 2022. Philadelphia allows 232 passing yards per game, ranking in the bottom half of the NFL.
The Birds have allowed offenses inferior to Miami’s to have big days through the air, as Mac Jones threw for 316 yards vs. Philly, Kirk Cousins had 364 yards, and Sam Howell nearly eclipsed 300 yards.
The Dolphins’ offense has the fastest players in the NFL, and that speed will make it difficult for the Eagles to prevent Tagovailoa from having a big game.
Jalen Hurts 275+ passing yards (+154 or better)
Hurts has rushed the ball less this season, spending more time in the pocket slinging passes. This could be tied to the Eagles’ wishes to preserve the 25-year-old’s health after signing a five-year, $255 million contract last offseason.
The former Crimson Tide and Sooners QB has surpassed 275 passing yards per game in four straight games, with a high of 319 yards vs. the Washington Commanders. Expect another great showing from Hurts vs. a Dolphins’ defense that is below league average against the pass.
Jaylen Waddle under 62.5 receiving yards (-114 or better)
Waddle has emerged as a redzone target for Tagovailoa, scoring in back-to-back games, but hasn’t put up impressive yardage totals recently. The Houston native started the season with a bang, totaling 78 yards and 86 yards in Weeks 1 and 2, respectively.
But Waddle’s high in the past three matchups is 51 yards vs. the Carolina Panthers. Tyreek Hill dominates Miami’s receiving workload with an NFL-leading 814 yards. Hill has 142 more yards than the league’s second-best receiver, A.J. Brown.
