It may seem hard to believe, but we find ourselves at the midpoint of the 2023 football season and it’s time to take stock of where we are.

I think the season has gone pretty well up to now. We have had a lot of wins and a few close calls, but all-in-all it has been a good season.

Wait, I’m not talking about what goes on on the field. We’ll leave that to the athletes and coaches who make our weekends so much fun this time of year.

That’s important, no doubt. But what I’m referring to is how we have fared in a much more vital part of the whole football experience.

It’s time for an honest assessment of just how well our tailgate and home-based football parties have been so far.

As a sort of self-proclaimed authority on pre-game partying, I think we’ve outkicked our coverage, to use a football metaphor. We’ve done very well, indeed.
