Saturday Night Live season 49 premiere: How to watch, where to stream

After ending its previous season early due to the Writers Guild of America strike, Saturday Night Live will finally return for its historic 49th season Oct. 14, 2023 at 11:30 p.m. ET.

The first episode of the new season will be hosted by former SNL cast member Pete Davison with Ice Spice as its musical guest.

The second episode of SNL season 49 will be hosted by international music artists Bad Bunny who will also be the musical guest.

Where can I watch the new season of Saturday Night Live?

Tonight’s season premiere on Saturday Night Live will be available to live stream via FuboTV, DirecTV Stream and Peacock with Showtime.

All three streaming services offer free trials for new subscribers who can live stream the new SNL season for free before committing to anything.

What is Paramount+ with Showtime?

The Paramount+ with Showtime bundle costs users $11.99 per month and has replaced Paramount+’s premium ad-free plan, which was $9.99.

Although not a live streaming service, Paramount+ allows premium subscribers to live stream certain content and specials as it premieres on regular television (such as new episodes of Saturday Night Live).

Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not have the option to live stream new episodes of SNL, but can stream on-demand the day after they premiere.

What is FuboTV?

FuboTV is meant for those looking for an alternative to basic cable.

FuboTV considers itself a sports-focused live streaming service, but overall, its standard package comes with over 100 live TV channels for $74.99 a month after its free trial. These channels include ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, TLC, MTV and much more.

FuboTV also comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.

What is DirecTV Stream?

DirecTV Stream is similar to FuboTV in that it offers many of the same channels and features. At $74.99 a month after its free trial, the base package comes with a little over 75 live TV channels.
