Live updates, scores, injuries: No. 11 Alabama hosts Arkansas for homecoming

It’s a gray morning in Tuscaloosa, but Bryant-Denny Stadium is slowly filling up as Alabama football hosts its homecoming game against Arkansas.

The 11th-ranked Crimson Tide (5-1, 3-0 Southeastern Conference) will play the Razorbacks (2-4, 0-3) in a rare 11 a.m. local time kickoff. UA and Arkansas are trending in opposite directions. Alabama is on a four-game winning streak with a trio of conference wins. Sam Pittman’s squad has lost four straight, including three one-possession games. The Tide enter Saturday favored by nearly 20 points.

“You can’t be spoiled by success,” Nick Saban said pregame on the Crimson Tide Sports Network pregame.” … Being favored really means nothing. we’ve been favored in a couple of games where we haven’t played great.”

The Tide hasn’t lost to Arkansas in the Saban era. Arkansas’ last wins against Alabama came in 2006 and 2003, both double-overtime thrillers. The 2023 version will feature a pair of dual-threat quarterbacks between UA’s Jalen Milroe and the visiting KJ Jefferson.

Pregame

–Alabama looks to have some mixed injury news. Senior defensive back Malachi Moore and right guard Darrian Dalcourt are in uniform. Moore was carted into the UA locker room last weekend. In team drills, however, neither appeared with the first-team units in warmups.

–It looks like Jaeden Roberts, who had the first start of his career last week at Texas A&M, is working with the first-team offensive line at right guard.
