Alabamaâs 2023 homecoming sorority lawn decorations are spectacular: See them all
University of Alabama Alabama sororities brought the heat with this year’s homecoming lawn decorations, using the theme “The Future is Crimson” and blending classic Crimson Tide figures like Nick Saban and Big Al with imagery from beloved films, television and more at the Capstone campus.
The decorations remain beloved fixture during homecoming week, and they seem to only get better each year.
After nights of intense pomping, the results are in — and Alabama football fans should love the designs, many of them realized in sharp detail.
Nick Saban, Jalen Milroe, Paul “Bear” Bryant and Big Al were prominently featured, along with the theme “The Future is Crimson.”
Several sororities blended imagery from the classic sci-fi adventure film “Back to the Future” to tie in with the 2023 theme, making for some amazing designs. Other went spacey with astronauts and a nod to “The Jetsons.”
But all participants upped their game this homecoming, and the canvases are worth a look in person if you are able to make it to Tuscaloosa this weekend.
Ahead of the annual pep rally, bonfire and homecoming queen announcement, fans and alumni strolled along the sidewalks outside the UA Panhellenic sorority houses Friday afternoon to catch a glimpse at the work.
