An investigation is underway into the death of a 77-year-old man reported missing earlier this week..

Eddie Lee Thomas, 77, of Midway, in Bullock County, was last seen by family members at the car show in Spring Hill, about 17 miles from Eufaula.

Thomas, who has several medical problems, left the event in a faded light blue Chevy 1500 long-bed pickup truck with a rusted top, according to the organization.

Thomas’s body was found Wednesday in the area of County Road 89 in Bullock County, Central Alabama Crime Stoppers announced Thursday.

The cause and manner of his death have not been released.
