Cole Cubelic shares Alabama coach’s opinion of Terrion Arnold: ‘He’ll be the best corner in America’

Terrion Arnold has made headlines of late. The Alabama defensive back was the victim of a Nick Saban tirade. He had a war of words with Texas A&M’s Ainias Smith. He’s given Miss Terry a bear hug.

Now, his on-the-field play is being noticed.

SEC Network analysts Roman Harper and Cole Cubelic, during their show “Read & React,” broke down Arnold’s play, which included the improvement seen against Texas A&M on Saturday.

“I talked to Travaris Robinson, the (Alabama) secondary coach, about this earlier this year,” Cubelic said. “He said the young man in high school didn’t play a lot of corner, kind of the best athlete on the team.

“He said, ‘Cole, he’ll be the best corner in America one day.’ And he’s already on his way to it.”

Harper goes on to talk about Arnold’s talent.

Arnold has done his part for a defense, which held Texas A&M to just three second-half points in Alabama’s 26-20 win on Saturday. The sophomore has 32 total tackles (13 solo), with six passes defended and an interception.
