5 Questions with State Rep. Anthony Daniels
Editor’s note: This fall, the Lede is reaching out to your elected representatives, asking what they’re anticipating for the 2024 session and what they’re doing to stay in touch with constituents.
State Rep. Anthony Daniels has served as House Minority Leader in the Alabama Legislature since 2017. He is the first African American to hold the position, and when he was first named, the youngest as well.
A Huntsville resident, he has represented District 53 since 2014. Hus colleagues in the House Democratic Caucus named him Legislator of the Year in 2015. A former teacher, he owns a small business.
