Authorities are searching for an elderly man they said disappeared after attending a car show Saturday afternoon near Eufaula.

Eddie Lee Thomas, 77, of Midway, in Bullock County, was last seen by family members at the car show in Spring Hill, about 17 miles from Eufaula, Central Alabama CrimeStoppers said Monday.

Thomas, who has several medical problems, left the event in a faded light blue Chevy 1500 long-bed pickup truck with a rusted top, according to the organization.

Thomas was described as 5-feet 10-inches tall and 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red checkered shirt with a beige undershirt.

Anyone with information on Thomas’ whereabouts was asked to notify law enforcement.
