Alabama’s Terrion Arnold throws shade at Ainias Smith: ‘I finally learned what coach Saban wants’

Alabama’s Terrion Arnold got the last word Saturday night after the Tide defeated Texas A&M 26-20.

First, he gave Miss Terry a bear hug coming off the field at College Station, then he had a message for Texas A&M’s Ainias Smith.

“I finally learned what coach Saban wants,” the defensive back posted on “X,” the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

It was the latest in a back and forth with Texas A&M star over the past week.

Leading up to the Saturday game, Smith said the game against Alabama was personal. Smith’s brother, Maurice Smith, played for the Crimson Tide, before a public battle when Nick Saban and company tried to block a transfer to Georgia.

Smith promised to make things difficult for the Crimson Tide.

“I know what Nick Saban wants, and we’re gonna mess that up,” Smith said.,

Arnold was asked his thoughts on Smith’s comments leading up to the game.

“I seen something that says he knows what coach Saban wants. And when I seen that I was kind of like, ‘What does coach Saban want?’ I mean, I’ve been here three years and I don’t know what that guy wants. So I don’t know. If we’re being honest, I don’t really even know,” Arnold said.

After the 26-20 win, Arnold now knows, and so does Smith.
