How cold did it get across Alabama last night?

Many in Alabama last night experienced their coldest night since May.

According to National Weather Service data several cities dropped into the 30s overnight, but no spot hit the freezing point (32 degrees).

Of Alabama’s bigger cities the coldest overnight was Gadsden, which hit 35 degrees. The “warmest” was 50 degrees in Mobile.

More cooler weather is on tap for today and tonight, but forecasters don’t think it will get as cold as last night. (The forecast low temperatures for tonight are shown above.)

High temperatures are expected to be very fall-like today (Sunday), with highs forecast to climb into the 60s and 70s statewide:
