North Alabama woman faces attempted murder charges after Sunday shooting

A Madison County woman faces charges of attempted murder and first degree domestic violence following a Sunday shooting.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Donna Ann Navarre, 59, was arrested Sunday afternoon.

Navarre’s arrest came after a shooting Sunday at about 5 a.m. on Clarice Circle. Deputies responded to a call of shots fired and found Navarre’s boyfriend suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office.

Navarre has bonds totaling $15,000 and is being held without bond on the domestic violence charge.

There was no word on the condition of the shooting victim.
