If there were a Mount Rushmore in Auburn, it might look pretty similar to the photo taken near midfield ahead of Saturday’s big Auburn-Georgia matchup at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Some might say the only one missing was former Auburn running back Bo Jackson.

Charles Barkley, Suni Lee, Cam Newton and Frank Sullivan met on the field minutes before kickoff to pose for a photo. The four of them each had wildly successful careers on The Plains.

Barkley played basketball for the Tigers for three seasons and was named the SEC’s Player of the Year in 1984, earned three All-SEC selections, was named an All-American and had his No. 34 jersey retired by the Tigers in 2001.

Auburn gymnast and Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee also made her way to Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday and appeared smaller than her 5-foot frame suggests standing alongside the likes of Barkley, Newton and Thomas. Before being sidelined by illness last season, Lee had the most decorated career in Auburn gymnastics history, with eight All-American honors, a national championship and being named SEC Freshman of the Year.

Former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton joined the squad of Auburn A-Listers Saturday after taking to Auburn’s social media pages and asking if he should watch Saturday’s game form the student section.

Newton played one season with the Tigers and certainly made the most of the opportunity, piloting the Tigers to the 2010 National Championship and winning the Heisman Trophy in the process.

Rounding out the group was former two-sport athlete Frank Thomas, who might be better known by his “Big Hurt” nickname, which he earned during his time playing baseball for the Chicago White Sox. At Auburn, Thomas played both football and baseball but ended up sticking with the latter. During his time playing Major League Baseball, Thomas was a five-time All-Star selection.
