Missing Huntsville infant believed to be in danger found safe;

Authorities on Friday canceled an emergency missing child alert for a Huntsville infant last seen nearly a week ago after she was found safe.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, which issued the alert Thursday for 7-month-old Kamarria Sharnay Bates, canceled the designation on Friday.

Huntsville Police Department spokeswoman Sydney Martin said Kamarria was found safe. Martin said no other information about the incident was available.

Kamarria, weighing 18 lbs., was believed to be in danger, according to ALEA. She was last seen on Aug. 23 at approximately 10 p.m. in the area of Cutler Drive N.W. in Huntsville. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Kamarria may have been in the company of her mother, Kiayah Miliayah Barnett, according to ALEA. Barnett, 15, has brown hair and brown eyes.
